The Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS) was formally organized in 1972 with one goal: give enlisted members of the National Guard a voice. Beginning with twenty-three states, EANGUS now represents all 50 states, Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the District of Columbia — a constituency of more than 450,000 Soldiers and Airmen and their families. It is a non-profit dedicated to an adequate national defense and to the status, welfare, and professionalism of the men and women of the Army and Air National Guard, working through legislation that provides the staffing, pay, benefits, entitlements, equipment, and installations the Guard needs.
The Enlisted Association of the National Guard of West Virginia (EANGWV) is one of EANGUS's 54 chapters. We provide direct support and legislative advocacy for West Virginia Soldiers, Airmen, and their families — at the state level in Charleston, and nationally through EANGUS on Capitol Hill.
Four things, done well
Advocate
We carry West Virginia's enlisted priorities to the EANGUS national conference and legislative workshops, and to our own delegation in Congress and the Legislature.
Educate
Our annual State Conference and Enlisted Professional Development Summit at Camp Dawson delivers leader panels, mentoring, and training you will not get at drill.
Invest
The Harold C. Pierce, Jr. Scholarship puts $1,000 toward college for members and their dependents every year.
Connect
We keep enlisted members connected to each other, to their units, and to the benefits and partners EANGUS negotiates on their behalf.

This association is only as strong as its membership
More than 5,500 enlisted Soldiers and Airmen serve in the West Virginia National Guard. Every one who joins adds weight to our voice. If you are enlisted in the WV Guard and not yet a member, your first year is free.
